After graduate school, I gained experience for 3 years in Program Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation before I took the plunge to organize as an LLC. Empowered Community Consulting is here now!
As a former Certified Child Life Specialist, aspiring humanitarian, and big fan of locally led initiatives, I aim to utilize my experience in children’s psychosocial care and public health M&E to help organizations that are already doing good work move from good to great. Social innovation and policy change requires more than anecdotes, let’s use data and evidence-based programming to design for maximum impact together! My areas of expertise is described in the description of services that we offer, but often times while working as an Evaluator or Consultant, we have to learn about a particular content area right alongside the client. I have trained and worked at a diverse list of incredible institutions like The University of Iowa, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, George Washington University School of Public Health, boutique consulting firms, and Federally Qualified Health Centers that serve rural medically underserved communities. Through these experiences, I’ve gained mentors and colleagues who are just as committed to empowering their community members as I am. If I can’t assist you, chances are we can collaborate to find someone with the background and experience that you need. Hello there, I’m Morganne!
Program Design
We know the population that we need to reach and the issue we want to fix, but are not sure about how. You need to design a program that is evidence based, and has clear indicators for a later assessment or impact evaluation. I can help with that!
Monitoring
We’re collecting some outcome data and tracking program implementation already. But maybe we could be doing more? Monitoring support from ECC can be for organizations that do not have the technical tools or team member manpower to do this for themselves. (yet!)
Evaluation
We’ve been offering services to a cohort of clients for a while. How do we know if the service we provide was successful and really did what we wanted it to?
You hire a consultant to take the data you have, or gather some themselves, and use it to write a program evaluation. I’m your girl.
Technical Assistance
We found a grant opportunity, but we aren’t sure how to write a compelling application for this grant opportunity. Or, we got a grant, but how in the world do we fulfill all the reporting requirements if we get it? You guessed it, Empowered Community Consulting to the rescue.

What I need from my #community:
Tell me about non-profits that you work with or have collaborated with who aren’t collecting data. Stories can be powerful tools for gathering donations and local support, but data is what makes you competitive for grants, and what builds a case for policy level systems change. Know a grassroots group who does great work but needs to level up to operate at a higher level with professional stakeholders? Tell me about them. Tell them about me!
